Hello again fellow humans! I am back and am here to blab about YOUR jk jk OUR social life xD.

Right; Here we goooooo!

The above, are the most used communication medium i use. Because, well.. everyone I know has a mukabuku a.k.a facebook. Great thing about Facebook it that you get to stay connected with friends whom you just met at some random place and you get to see whatever your friends are up to. The bad thing…. You might get STALKED! hahaha. It’s true. So be very wary of the people you approve as friends. another thing is that you get very very addicted to it! XD

Skype. I’ll admit. Everyone has MSN. Even me. But I like using skype because you only have one window for it. I mean if they’re so many windows aiyoo soo mafan lah. XD The cruel thing about skype is that you get addicted to it just like Facebook. =(

Truthfully, I think social networking sites makes my life worst. Yes Worst I tell ya WORST! because, because of Facebook, I’m behind schedule for this project :’(

I usually just stay at my “home” on facebook. Maybe chat and comment too. But mostly just scroll around wasting time XD Btw, I don’t play farmville, aquaville or whatever ville XD Its a waste of brain cells people!

I currently have 293 facebook friends. I am very picky about approving people on facebook soooo, I’ve met let say 95% of them the other 5% are friends of friends =)

Do have twitter. But it’s abandoned XD

Aktiviti Sosial Aku di Alam Maya

I have phone and facebook. So, the ways I communicate to my friend is using sms, phone and facebook.. dan banyak positive thing i get from that.. cume yang negative bagi aku ialah membuang mase dan kredit... tapi aku x kisah asalkan hubungan kite dengan kawan2 x terjejas...

Facebook... kadang2 je aku bukak... malas nak layan facebook tu, kalau dilayan berjam2 aku menghadap komputer tu.. tapi bagus jugak facebook tu.. dapat berkenalan dengan kenalan baru, menghubungkan balik aku dengan kawan2 yang terputus hubungan dan dapat kongsi maklumat... so, x yah la susah2 mencari no hp orang yang kite nak cari tu kerana boleh berkomunikasi dgnnye menggunakan internet.. maju sungguh zaman sekarang ni... secara keseluruhannye.. social networking tidak memberi aku kesan yang buruk selain yang baik sahaja...

Untuk first time meeting.. aku prefer face to face la.. sebab aku boleh buat first impression sebelum aku kenal lebih dalam lagi.. tapi kalau melalui online ok jugak, x menjadi masalah pun.. cume aku x gemar la...
I dont have twitter.. facebook pun x terlayan, nak buat twitter lak.. =)..

Hey there YouthSays! It’s 6 in the morning and I’m back online. See, I really am addicted to the internet ;)

What communication medium (SMS, Instant Messenger, Phone, Twitter, Facebook), do you and your friends use the most to communicate through and why? What are the positives and negatives of each?

I know its pretty sad and all but I use practically all of the above. :O Whether it be SMS, IM, Phone, Twitter and Facebook, my friends and I are all hooked onto it :D Why? In the era of modernization we’re facing today, us teens find the constant need to stay in touch with each and every one of our friends. Social networking is somewhat a means for us to know what our friends are doing anywhere, anytime and at any given moment. Obviously everything has it’s pros and cons right? Well, in a nutshell, the positives of the above would probably be that one can connect with their friends instantly without much hassle. And as for the negatives, we all know it! We hear it eeeeeverryyyday – especially from our parents! :D And they constantly naaaaaag us about it. What is it you ask? IF YOU USE TOO MUCH YOU’LL GET ADDICTED TO IT!! :O

Is social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter making your life better or worse?

Of course it makes life better! I mean who would have thought of something so ingenious that you can share anything and everything with your social world with a click of a button. Facebook and Twitter has now changed the way businesses operate and has become not only a networking tool but also a marketing tool ;D

Please list the number of online social networking sites (Facebook, Friendster, Twitter, blog) which ones you are a member of and why you chose to have a profile/account on each of them?
What activities do you usually do when you are social networking sites?

I don’t really like having a lot of social networking accounts just because if they’re not good, there isn’t any point for you to join :D Here are the one’s I find are essential:
Facebook
Dohh! I can stay in touch with the 1450 friends I have on Facebook ;)
Twitter
To stay updated on what my favourite celebs are doing ;D
Blogger
To blog my thoughts and opinions. Do visit my blog :D
Friendster
Basically, my Friendster is DEAD just like everyone elses. :P


How many Facebook/Friendster/MySpace/Twitter friends do you have? Who are these people? How many of these do you consider ‘close friends’? How many of them have you not meet before?

1450 friends on Facebook. :) Most are them are people I actually know well or on surface level. There are infact very few that I totally don’t know.

Do you prefer to meet people for the first time online or face-to-face? Why?

Face-to-face because I believe by starting off a relationship face-to-face you create this bond like no other. By meeting people online for the first time, you wouldn’t really know who the person is. And you can’t really judge the character of the person.

Do you have Twitter? If yes, how many followers do you currently have? Who do you follow?

Yep, I sure do :D I have 440 followers to date. And I follow celebs like Adam Lambert, Katy Perry, Kris Allen, Lady Gaga, Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber. Oohh, not to forget, I also follow our beloved Prime Minister! :D

Social Networking and why I hate them.

Social networking in my opinion is just an excuse to stay home and avoid any serious confrontations that might happen when interacting with other humans face to face.

I can’t really say that social networking is bad. Without a doubt, it is extremely convenient if you want to chat with a friend late at night without seeing each other. But if you use it even when your friend is just sitting beside you, then it would become unhealthy. Social networking helps you reach many people within a short time frame, but with that comes many cons too. For example, one could ruin someone’s public image with just a click of a mouse and rumors could be spread easily.

I do have accounts in some social networking sites, but that doesn’t mean I like them. I have an account in Twitter, but I don’t see the point in telling people what I’m doing every second, and I don’t see how anyone could get addicted to doing it either. Needless to say, I rarely update it. I joined because I was curious as to why so many people love it. Thought it was something you have to do to understand. I have about 40 followers? Don’t laugh please, I know that’s pathetic.

I also have an account in Facebook, but that is purely to update people about blogshop’s status. The games they provide are just like the ones we play when we were 5 or 6 years old, but turns out repetitive mouse clicking is extremely addictive to some.

If I were to communicate, I’d definitely choose email and phone. Email – because everyone has it. I mean, you would need an email account to have a social networking account right? And so many people out there have social networking accounts, which means a lot of people have email accounts. So it is convenient and unlike twitter, I could write a novel of an email and send it over.

Phone – Get straight to the point. I just need to call to inform someone of something. Prefer this over email.

But I don’t like to use SMS. Because of human’s nature to not reply when something important is sent. How would I know if the sms was sent or if my friend did not read it?

The Facebook syndrome

It’s taboo not to have Facebook. Fact. Everybody has Facebook. Fiction. 

But let’s face it, there aren’t many people, especially youth, that we know NOT having Facebook. It’s almost a sin. A couple of friends and I were huge skeptics of Facebook, but are now converts.  

There isn’t much you can’t do there, aside from video conferencing, which isn’t necessary, since messages get across relatively fast, and to a lot of people. Beats texting, which is more expensive in the long run these days, though it is at times the faster alternative, next to actually calling someone.  But even that is getting increasingly rare. My fixed line at home sometimes only registers my grandmother’s outgoing calls, which comes to about RM6, and the rest is the cost of renting a TM phone (though we don’t. It’s compulsory folks! FYI) and the Streamyx, set at RM 60 a month.

The Loser’s Guide to Facebook. Thing’s you can do:

1.       1. Write your Status. It will appear as [name] [whatever you choose to write here]. You may remove it at any time by running your cursor over your status, and a REMOVE button will appear on the far right. You may also post new statuses for as many times as you wish.

2.      2. Put a profile picture up! Very important, since if your name does not sound familiar to me, I usually look at your profile picture. If it’s something like Final Fantasy, or some picture other than yourself, be prepared to be ignored.

3.      3. Upload photos in an album. Tag your friends and family!

4.      4. People can leave a COMMENT on just about anything you choose to make public, and/or LIKE it. Thankfully, there’s no DISLIKE button, yet.  As such, I presume most would prefer to have people they actually have met before in their list, like me.

5.     5.  Ignore all your invites. Or most, or some of em, no one cares. Probably why I only have 369 friends instead of 129030. Quality above quantity!

6.      6. Play mindless Facebook games. Not applicable to Scrabble.

IM-ing is so yesterday! But nothing beats a good ol’ ‘one-on-one’ ‘conversation’ with an old friend.

Kawan Online boleh jadi Kawan Baik

•Saluran apakah (SMS, IM, telefon, Twitter, status Facebook) yang anda dan kawan-kawan anda gunakan paling kerap untuk berhubung dan kenapa? Apakah perkara-perkara positif dan negatif untuk setiap satunya?

Aku mengunakan semua perkara kerana teknologi perlu dimanfaatkan..... Sekarang ini yang kerap digunakan tentulah facebook kerana facebook menyediakan rungan chat ..... Ruangan chat
Facebook mudah untuk bersembang terus tetapi facebook agak suram pada profile page berbanding tagged.... Tetapi kelebihan facebook mempunyai keselamatan yang ketat....
Penggunaan Im atau YM lebih cepat daripada chat facebook serta dapat melakukan banyak aktiviti bersama dan lebih privasi.....

Sms pula perkara biasa diguanakan dan menjadi seperti satu keperluan tetapi keburukannya ialah penggunaan wang serta kredit yg banyak..... Sebulan boleh dikatakn sebanyak Rm100
Habis untuk isian semula telefon bimbit...... Kering ini boleh menyebabkan poketku menjadi kering dan kontang ibarat cuaca sekarang nih..... Jadi kalau ada kredit aku guna la sms ni....Kalo x dak kalo online jer ymtuh harap my friend pun online la.....

Setiap benda dan perkara atas bumi nih ada baik dan buruknya......
Pendapat saya kebaikan ialah dapat mencari kwan lama aku kat primary school serta kwan aku yg dah pindah school dan rumah..... Senang nak pujuk kwn kalau gaduh
dan juga cari kwn baru seta kekadang boleh dapat geng serta kwan baik dan kadang boleh release tension.....

Owh wow... well I mostly communicate thru IM and Facebook. Its just way easier but kinda hard too since I dunno what time they are on >_> The positives is that we can communicate easily and faster but the sad part is that we wont know fo'sho who is on or off....

Eh... wow... so many questions... Okay first off, I dunno... well in Twitter is mostly bands so is myspace. close friends..? Hmm... err  not much and damn there's just so many I havent meet up before hehehe.

Well I don't do well at meeting people face to face cause I get really nervous so I rather meet online cause I can just type and my nerves will still be intact with me :P

Im currently not on Twitter right now so I think around 40+ and they are mostly bands who follow me. You know to promote themselves LOL... And I normally follow celebs, my friends don't interact with Twitter

i used all of it :D but mostly me and my friends use facebook and twitter. if we want for some fast speed and more privacy we will use twitter. bcause our twitter accounts is private :D and we only approve closed friends and family members. whereas for facebook, less privacy but more fun to use (n_n) as longs its online, its free to communicate with each other. just that we will spend more time surfing the internet more and thats is not good for our health

well, for me its makes my life ok. :) i can communicate with my friends easier anf its for free. for better? nope. for worse? not that either. so its in the middle :D

facebook- i join facebook bcause of the quiz before but now my motive changes as i always use it and its not fot the quiz :D

friendster- bcause of the layout. but now i dumped fs bcause im too lazy to change the layout and its damn slow to load when using fs =.="

twitter- more privacy when im using twitter and im loving it ! ♥

blog- i can share my daily lives with my family and friend :)

youtube and veoh- i can watch free video and download it for free ^^ both function is almost the same

youthsays- i can voice my opinion and share it with youth all over :) bside earning money from answering some surveys

facebook i have 484 friends. most of them are my scholmates. juniors and seniors of my school, my church members amd few of them are my relatives :) i didnt realised it has reach that number :D only very few of them are my "close friends". very very few.

friendster, as far i remember, 100-200 . since i abandoned fs. hahaha. ohya. consist of my scholmates too, not many of them that i can consider as "close friend"

twitter i only have 10 ppl :D privacy reason. hahaha. close friends and my sister

Semestinya Facebook. Kenapa? sebab ramai orang ada facebook. Tapi bukan facebook je Zul guna sebagai medium untuk berhubung. Dalam ramai2 member2 Zul, tak silap Zul, Zul adalah orang yang paling banyak ada benda2 macam nie. Semua Zul try, kira macam survey dulu ar. Kalau bagus baru Zul promote kat kawan2. Kerja tanpa gaji..haha
Setakat nie, banyak feedback yang Zul dapat positif. Benda nie akan jadi negatif bila kita terlampau terpengaruh dan cuba buat benda2 mengarut.

Blogger-Sebab nie free. tulis blog dah jadi hobi Zul. Macam2 Zul dapat dengan tulis blog.So Zul suggest kat korang, buat la blog..(bercadang nak pakai self-hosting dan domain sendiri)
Wordpress-Nak tengok bagus ke tak. Orang cakap its better than blogger, so just give a try.


Banyak yang Zul gunakan untuk berhubung dengan kawan-kawan, make a business, and make money.

Tak kira la pulak..lebih kurang 300 la..depend pada populariti social networking jugak. More than half la real friends. Ramai jugak yang Zul jumpa face-to-face.

Better face-to-face.. sekarang susah nak jumpa. So, dalam internet pun boleh..
