Day 3 : Success

Continuation from Day 3 : Ambition!

"How can they say my life is not a success? Have I not for more than sixty years got enough to eat and escaped being eaten?" - Logan P. Smith

Bukan nak cakap aku ni cakap besar pula ye. HAHA. Tapi betul lah, kan? =)

Academically, there are few achievements that I have accomplished, so far. Being in upper form pula, double up the problems, pressure, and responsibility. With such commitment, I found it very hard during my SPM days. Even though I didn't score perfectly, it's good to realise that I have done my best. =)

Now, one of my random, non-academic achievements would be, being the third person in Kelantan, yang berjaya mendapatkan buku 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows', yang juga merupakan buku terakhir bagi siri Harry Potter yang famous tu. Satu-satunya book store yang kitorang, Kelantanese, boleh pre-order and dapatkan buku tu on its release date, hanyalah Popular Book Store sahaja. So, on that victorious, triumphant morning, I was the third person in the whole Kelantan, who got her hands on the book! Korang tak tahu, macam mana aku kena berebut dengan orang lain untuk dapatkan buku tu pagi 21/7/2007 (release date - aku ingat lagi!). So, big Yay for me! Quite an achievement, I might say. HAHA.

I would define a successful person by three points.
  • Is not someone who achieves great achievements or great results or great things, but someone who reaches the final line without anybody's help, but by his own effort.
  • Is someone who works his butt off, and does not cheat.
  • Is someone who is contented and happy with his life.
Ayah is someone who will always be my inspiration! Why?
It is simply because, he is my father and my superhero! He can do anything at anytime in anywhere even without anybody's help! He can fix electrical things, he can cook, he can even work on farm, and also, he can do lots of other unimaginable things one can do. He is such a superhero, isn't he? The best thing about Ayah is, even though he is always busy with tons of works at his office, he never comes home with any of it. Yet, he always has time for his family, makes sure that we have family dinner every single night, and always glues us as a family together. Plus, he never forgets to spend some of his time to serve our neighbourhood's community every weekends too! He has many works in his hand at a time, but he never complains, and still can be happy . =)

Ayah, and his lovely daughter, Me =)

I'll finish this post with my favourite quotes.   =)
  • "Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally." - David Frost
  • "Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get." - Dale Carnegie
  • "Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome." - Booker T. Washington
