#10 and the end of it, 1 Malaysia

I think 1 Malaysia is a great idea, implementing togetherness in us. I support it, yes, but I'm not a whole fanatic about it and I don't intend to have a really strong say in this ..... wait, I really don't have a strong perception about it. haha

In the next 5 years, Malaysia will grow bigger than it is now. But it will grow ever bigger if the government patches up and do touch-ups here and there. Wait, LOADS of touch-ups, especially on the politics issues. *sigh*

The various races we have here in Malaysia is so awesome I can't put it in words. It's even more awesome the fact that we don't really fight about it. Saying we completely don't is a complete lie. Racism still occurs and I personally hate it and I feel really offended by it even when a Chinese dislikes an Indian or a Malay dislikes a Chinese. I mean, to the hell with you! !*#@$@^%&^%#@

I might say I think of my religion first. But putting that aside, I'd stand up for my country first before my race. It's just who we are, our colour, it's just that and through Allah's eyes, we are all the same to Him, no matter what.

As what I said earlier, I wouldn't lie to say that there isn't any tension between these various races. There is. And it's still happening right now.

Yes, there is a typical Malaysian stereotype but it doesn't happen so strongly in every place in the world. But yes, certain people from certain parts of the world dislike Malaysians.

I would love for people to look up to Malaysia and Malaysians one day. For them to respect us and love our culture and our ways. And if them would stop thinking of us Malaysians as mundur and criticize us Malaysians as only Muslims and that we are too, terrorists. *sigh sigh sigh sigh*

But in order for other people to do that, we ourselves must repair the damage and be better.

#9 Brands

Is branded products important?

Absolutely not! My father has taught me that the most important thing in buying stuff is the quality. Yes, usually branded products have higher quality but it doesn't necessarily mean that things without a brand couldn't be a good deal.

Brand that I agree with :

Cotton On is so IN because it follows most of the trend(not saying that I'm an absolute trend follower it's just that I agree with this brand) but at really affordable price compared to Forever 21, Topshop, MNG and Zara.

Favourite brands :

- Clarks for their comfortable shoes. And I really respect them for upgrading their style.

- Salvatore Ferragamo for their really really great handwork of leathers ( not that I own any hahaha)

- Nine West for their style that suits me a lot.

- Vans, yes, for their style that suits another side of me.

- Xixilli for their comfortable bras hehehe.

-Supre of Australia that's super amazing.

- Forever New of Australia that's even more amazing! hehe

-Ipanema for their really comfy flip-flops.

- F.O.S and blogshops HAHAHA

I don't think there are any brands that I would be embarrassed to be associated with. Maybe.

Nope, religion doesn't influence my choice of brands.

Where do I find informations on products that I like,

mostly friends. Or when I go out and 'tawaf' malls.

#8 Listing down my favourites ...

3 things recently :

Number 1 is the Youth Festival '10. I went there with my friends for two days which was Friday and Saturday for basketball games and the bazaar. It was kinda cool 8D

Number 2 would be

My friend, Khadijah and I were so excited to make an acapella cover of this song too, but we haven't got to it yet. hehe

Err, that's the only two things that I could think of right now :S

Must see for 2010 :

- My boyfriend's basketball games hehehe.

- TOYS STORY 3!!!!!!

- Sex and the City 2 :D

Must have :

- Attic above my bedroom hehehe

- A huge shoe rack since I'm a real shoe addict.

- Lotsa shoes since I'm getting a shoe rack! hehehe and one of them is down here

- um, I think that would be all :S

Favourite outfit would be hard. Because I change my style from day to day according to my mood. So in a month, I can be rock-chic, vintage milk lady or just a laid-back sixteen year old. heh heh

Favourite gadgets and things I couldn't live without :

Stationaries! I don't know why I love them so much.

I get super hyper when I go to stationary shops.

Dell Studio laptop.

It's actually my little brother's but I sort of use it most of the time.

My Nikon d80.

She makes magic.

iPhone 3gs.

But I want it in white :(

#7 Entertainment

My favourite TV shows as of right now would be One Tree Hill, House and Criminal Minds. For OTH and House, I watch them on cd because once our whole family went to Indonesia, we buckled up everything they have ahaha. As for Criminal Minds, I rarely watch it nowadays since I don't place myself in front of the tv anymore :S

YES I DO LIKE MUSIC AND FASHION. Wait, I LOVE 'EM.

Music, I would go to Youtube and catch some really cool covers from people that could be stars like,

Right now, they are my personal favourite! :D

So I guess I've just answered two questions there.

Yes, I do enjoy reading books .... sometimes. The last book I read was three months ago :'(

New information on entertainment that I like.

I would find them on the radio, Youtube and my friends! Yes, they are THAT resourceful!

#6 Social Networking

GOOD MORNING MALAYSIA!!

Communication mediums :

HANDPHONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :D

I rarely go online just to talk with people. I'd call or meet up if there's anything important.

But when we do go online, we mostly use Facebook, Myspace back then, MSN Messenger and blogger. My friends do use Twitter and Plurk and all but I don't heheh.

Social networking sites, for the better or worse?

Bettterrrrrrrrrrr :D Facebook has done me wonders with its magic of finding old friends and reaching out to people far faaaarr awaaay. hehe.

But worse when you use it excessively.

Social networking sites I have :

1. Facebook. Because at first they have so many games! I was so seduced by them haha. now they do me real good :D

2. Hotmail account and MSN Messenger.

3. Blogger, to dish out crappy stuff to hungry readers, haha.

4. Skype, to use the video call to talk with my sisters in Australia.

5. Youtube. Because sometimes my friends and I make covers of songs hehe.

How many friends do I have on Facebook?

Let's see ...................

Only like 1% of them are people I don't know but I accepted their friend requests because their names keep popping up again even after I denied T.T

Close friends are about 3% of them and other than that, people from school, friends of friends I sort of know. OHMYBEJEESUS about 90% of them ARE people from school!! :O

I prefer to meet people for the first time by seeing their faces. Because meeting people online can somehow be scary. And they can be what they are not.

There was this one girl who added me on Myspace (that was like years ago haha) and we chatted quite a bit and she knew some of my friends and when I saw her once at an event, I really didn't want to go and talk to her because I was like, nooooo I don't even know this girl. haha

Um, no, I don't have a twitter :)

#5 Going Online

I go online about 1-2 hours a day. Three hours would be max. Well that's only valid on normal days. Unlike this week where I am having my mid-year exams, I haven't gone online for three days! YEAY! haha. Seriously, sometimes I feel like punching myself for spending too much time in front of the computer. Okay, first thing I would click when I get to the computer is iTunes for music and then Google Chrome and type Hotmail on the first tab, Facebook on the second, Blogger on the third and then sometimes Youtube.

Err, no, I don't use nicknames :)

Being good friends with people I met online.

I guess that never happened to me before and I don't intend for it to happen because to me, that is just pure scary hehehe. I really choose my friends and people who I call friends are mostly the ones that are really close to me and I am very comfortable with them.

BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, the friend Bahim up there, he's actually a looooonggggg lost friend of mine. We went to the same kindergarten but never contacted never really met again after that. He added me up on Facebook, God bless Facebook haha.

Nope, my parents have never monitored my going online. I have ze freedom bebeh! :P

I don't go online ALL the time. They're okay with me going online but I have to keep it at an adequate state.

ONLINE WORLD MORE DISCONNECTED WITH FRIENDS? HELL NO!!

It's one of the things that make me more connected with them even by not going online the whole day and having my MSN status available all the time.

And, it's the most important thing that connects me to my sisters and brother that are overseas.

#4 Work and Money ; Aisyah Pahmi

Just stop for a little while,
take a look, see,
and think.

How important is money?
Oh penting, penting tapi bukanlah benda paling penting dalam dunia. I don't die or cry if I don't have enough money. Money is always around, it's just the matter of looking for it and earning it.

I get money from of course, my parents since I am yet sixteen. I get school money which is RM4 per day and I save up from there. I don't get more than that unless I ask for some to buy stuff for school and all. Other than that, I too get a little bit money from my little business of cupcakes and this, duaspade.blogspot.com.

Save up versus buying straightaway.
I usually save up and wait till I found the best one there is. But sometimes I could be an impulsive shopper too. And when that happens, it's bizzarely dangerous haha. But good thing is, it rarely happens :)

Having strong work ethic and give your best when working is definitely important. Wait, this might be easier to write in Bahasa since a lot of essay topics in BM are concerning this :P
Dalam zaman era globalisasi yang sentiasa maju dan sentiasa bergerak pantas, adalah penting dan wajar agar kita cuba untuk mendahului orang lain. Ini adalah kerana saingan adalah sangat sengit dan jika kita tidak berusaha, there is no doubt we will be left out.

The current economic climate.
I guess no, it hasn't effected me and my family that much. And no again, it doesn't interrupt my outlook on the future, YET.

Coolest jobs and the uncoolest jobs.
Well that depends on the person's perception.
To me, the coolest job would be a mother. And the a business-woman and umm, a fashion director.
Uncoolest job would be not having any job ahahaha :D

#3 Ambition and Success ; Aisyah Pahmi

Well HELLO again! :)

Hope everyones having the time of their life and savouring each moment ;)

I feel that I should be true when I write in this blog. That I shouldn't cover anything up and just be myself. I hope that no one thinks that I'm a brat and snobby because truthfully, I am not. I am just a mere human being and I try to be the best I can, just like all of you :)

Success and achievement stories ;

My first achievement that I could remember of is knowing how to ride a bike! Haha! That was when I was six :)

The first achievement to me was, contributing that I want to be a business-woman, was opening a stall selling drinks and floats for Hari Tunas Usahawan with my classmates when I was 10 years old. That was when I realized that I love doing business.

I continued opening stalls for several Hari Tunas Usahawan until now when there is one in school. Today, I have a blogshop (excuse it for being not so impressive heh heh) selling clothes, bags, accessories, practically things that I like. I make cupcakes, brownies and cookies (made to order) and until now, I have participated in 2 bazaars outside of school and planning to do more, especially in malls. As for our mini company in school(SMK Seksyen 5 Wangsa Maju), the Young Entrepreneurs program, I am the Managing Director for this year hehe :)

Education-wise. I have received the title Tokoh Murid for when I was in standard six and have achieved straight A's for UPSR and PMR. SPM has yet to come.

Defining a 'successful person' ;

Success is a huge word. Even achieving a short-term target like knowing how to open a can drink could be called a success har har har :D

In my opinion, the person should excel in so many ways in his/her life from education(kerana seseungguhnya ilmu itu pelita hidup), achievements out of school/college/uni, their maturity, the way they think of life and their perception, their relationship with God and the people around and yes of course, the person must be happy. I mean, how does the person even feel accomplished if he ain't smiling?

High status and money isn't everything in life and that is definitely not how I define a successful person.

Ambitions ;

One of the most important thing to me is being happy in life. Two, I would love to have a family and three, I want to be a business-woman even if not forever, a few years can do me good.

For the next year :

1. Driving license!

2. 9 A+'s for SPM

3. Get my blogshop famous

4. Get flowing orders for bakes

5. Play basketball better and enter tournaments

6. Kumpul duit yang secukupnya untuk masa depan

For the next five years (I'd be 21 by then) :

1. In college/university taking up whatever I desire or most probably business

2. Start thinking about getting married hehehe

3. If possible, try to open up my own shop! A cafe will do me great too!

Lifetime :

1. HAPPINESS

2. Reach my business target and will probably stop because ;

#2 Family and Friends ; Aisyah Pahmi

Them are ze parents! :d

My dad is now 50 and working in the agricultural filed which he loooves and we do too because we oh-so-often get free tomatoes and papayas!

My mum is 47 and is a housewife. She is the tiniest in the family haha. I'm taller even though I call myself a dwarf T.T

Aaaand this is Hadi.

My eldest sister Sarah, is married and is living in Perth with her husband. The second sister Hajar is studying bio-technology in Brisbane, also in Australia while my eldest brother Hadi is in Moscow taking up aviation engineering but then switched to aerospace. And the other brother, Hakeem is studying mechanical engineering in KLIUC.

They are the four trios, the four amigos and so on. I came a bit later, the age gap was 4 years and so, I am often kicked out and abandoned. boohoooo :'( I was the toy, I was always picked on.

But later on as I grew bigger and less annoying (as what THEY said), I somehow was a part of them. It's quite an emotional thought for me. heh heh.

And these are probably some of the most annoying people

I've ever met.

They are my younger brothers.

Some days I swear I want to slap them as hard as I can and I would feel that I would never want to see them again (okay this is REALLY exaggerating). But the house is just empty and cold without them.

All of us were born in Terengganu (except for them 3 younger ones) and all of us are deeply, madly in love with Terengganu. The beach, the surrounding and serenity. Aaah there's no other place like it.

We have been best friends since 9 years old. And that was when I lived in TTDI. Now, we still contact each other and meet up at least once a year. It won't be as hard as soon as I get my driver's license. hehe

How I describe myself when meeting new people.

I think this question is a bit weird because um ... I just don't randomly tell the person whom I just met what kind of a person I am. haha

But to answer the question, I would say : You'll have to find out ;)

Is identity important to me and my friends?

Yes, it is. It has its advantages but we are not to be WELL-known. Our circle is, if I may say, one of the most active groups in our batch in school. We do good in studies, participate in sports and we are the committees of our school's mini company which is the Young Entrepreneurs program (YE) and so it is very important for us to network.

Standing out and being different is maybe not that all important. We don't feel the necessity to prove to people that we are so, WHOA! We try to be as best as we can :)

Does religion affect to my choices of friends?

Yes, in ways of the person's behaviour and attitude. Maksud saya disini adalah bahawa saya memilih kawan berdasarkan akhlak mereka :)

Different religious beliefs is a no problem to any of us, never has never will. As you can see in the pictures, I have included three of our close Chinese friends and they are so different in so many ways. One is a Buddhist and the other two are Christians. And we have lots more different race and religion friends.

WE ARE COMPLETELY AGAINST RACISM.

How we categorize people.

One word, ew. Categorizing is just so ....... I don't know what's the word for it but we really don't do that.

#1 Youth Today

HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO! :D

HI! My name is Siti Aisyah bt Mohd Pahmi. I am sixteen, living in Wangsa Maju, KL. I go to SMK Seksyen 5 Wangsa Maju. My birthday is on the 3rd of May and I was born in Kemaman, Terengganu. I am currently listening to Sum 41's 'With Me', in the midst of my mid-year examination and extremely exhausted but I somehow feel excited to write this first post!

The best thing about being youth today is well ..... um ...... I'm not quite sure.

Well to get started there isn't A best 'thing' , there are loads of great things about being youth of today. As for me, one of the best things is having enough freedom. For an example, I am only sixteen and yet I am allowed to go out with friends and my boyfriend without my parents making a lot of hassle out of it, unlike most of my friends' parents hehehe. I too, have the freedom of making my own decisions in life.

Next is of course, technology! I bet most youngsters today can't survive a week without going online(me included).

Living today has a lot of privileges I can't even list them out one by one. I mean, look around us, all these facilities from shopping to sports, school to games to technology ; where did all these things come from?!

The future ; the unknown. It can be the scariest place to think of but it also might be a fantasy. In Islam, we have a thing about believing in Qada' and Qadar. It is stated that our whole life has been planned out by Allah but but BUT we have the power to change our future.

For me, no, the future isn't something to worry about. Like I said earlier, our generation is blessed in so many ways.

Youth are rebellious in nature? YES! And NO!

Well some are and some aren't. I haven't gone through life that much yet but I have seen rebels and non-rebels. They both exist. I guess it depends on that person himself ; how they are brought up, their background, surroundings etcetera etcetera. And oh yes, hormones! It affects a whole lot in a teenager's personality as hormones are changing at rapid rates.

And um no, I don't think I have ever rebelled in such an overly manner before. And to me, rebelling is just another way to cry for attention heh heh.

Youth today have an easier life compared to our parent's generation.

I don't agree entirely. Yes, as time passes by, things get a lot easier. But back then, life wasn't this complicated.

My biggest fear would be Allah SWT and the life hereafter.

What makes me happy?

My goodness this list would be never ending!!

I won't state all the obvious ones, family friends boyfriend car rat pencil box yadayadayada. On thing that I can state right not is ; I am happy when I get to see a change from bad to good in someone. And I get happier when I am a part of the change :)

The most difficult hurdle I've gone through is well, going through these days of teenage years. It's the time for me to learn so much more about life. And the experience is priceless.

Which is more important, family or friends?

Of course family is more important! Mereka lah darah dagingku. But friends come just right after :)

Choosing between family and friends. I have to say I haven't faced anything involving choosing either one of them ; none that are major.

THE PART WHERE I BECOME A SELF-CENTERED, EGOISTIC BITCH hahaha

For one, I like to eat brown sugar :D

Two, this is my boyfriend. I am actually thinking of whether or not to erase this part but then again, he's a huge part of a lot of things :)
